Conscious VS Conspicuous Consumption StuffHound.com is a Stuffy rant about the power we the consumer has with each dollar spent.

Stuffy the StuffHound.com mascot is a less is more type of pooch. How does a dog need to live? Not much.

Whereas we the people seem to need to chop down and dig up most of the Earth to build homes and then fill it with literally tons of stuff.

Plus after digging up the Earth often times we do a look at me dance with our choices of stuff we surround ourselves with.

On one hand we purchase stuff not only for conspicuous consumption but to unconsciously attempt to protect/distance ourselves from the inevitable death we all face.

Stuff is into more spartan less is more and utilizing the power of money spent to not only improve personal life but people and community.

Rather than spending online looking for alternatives locally. Each dollar spent locally helps neighbors with jobs and income. Plus what goes around comes around.

Spending consciously in a local low key manner is positive empowerment in consumer action.

Stuff Hound offers producers, sellers and consumers a unique and power rich way in which to change the tide of consumption and use it as a tool to improve things locally and globally.

The long list of how working together using tools that Stuff Hound offers can create positive change here and around the world is a win win situation.

Check out Stuff Hound and visualize creative possibilities to enrich your own life but people around you.

Searching Google for Stuff Hound Listings is a fast and convenient way to find local prices for stuff your interested buy locally at the best price. Better yet, using Google to even find out if the stuff you want or need to buy is even for sale in your area where you live, work or play.

Here is a tip on using the Google search box to narrow down what you’re looking for.

Example:
Enter the following in the Google search.
“Stuff Hound” orange juice Marysville WA

Put the double quote symbols around the words Stuff Hound like this “Stuff Hound”

That will do an exact search at Google which will require Google to include results with the Stuff Hound in the SERP, search engine results page.

Then add what you’re looking for in the town and state you want to locate it in.

So the example of:
“Stuff Hound” orange juice Marysville WA

The above works like this Google Search you can try it now.

Just remember to put the “Stuff Hound” and then the city or town and state plus what you are searching for. The order the text is entered in the Google search box isn’t all that important. In other words Marysville WA could be first then “Stuff Hound” and the stuff you are looking for.

If you don’t find the stuff listed at Google you can become a StuffHound.com member if you aren’t already and contribute information about the stuff if and when you find it for sale locally in the area where you’re located.

Learn how you can save hundreds if not thousands when shopping using Stuffhound.com

Stuff Hound is a place on the web where people can team shop together and save tons of money.

Here is an example. Currently Endangered Species Chocolate which ordinarily sells for $2.79 at Fred Meyer in Everett Washington State, is on sale until April 2, 2012 for only $1.40.

Down the street in a community called Mill Creek the store called Central Market At Mill Creek the same chocolate is on sale for 2 for $4 until April 10, 2012.

Lets back up. First off if you are a chocolate lover you know how good the Endangered Species 88% cocoa is. Plus you realize $2.79 isn’t a bad price for the chocolate. But when this item is on sale for $2.00 or even less at the 1/2 or $1.40, you should be very happy.

Here’s the deal. Guess what, fuel to drive around and find such deals is only going up higher and higher. To drive around even from the two stores that are less than two miles apart can increase the cost of the chocolate dramatically.

Not only is the cost of fuel for a car to drive around in going up, but time is also money. I for one don’t like driving around in traffic and wasting my time looking for stuff I need or want to buy. Shopping sucks big time. I have better things to do.

Oh, but you say I could spend hours online looking at different store ads and find things like the chocolate I like so much on sale. Not so, I still have better things to do with my time. Time is valuable.

Most stores are too lazy, stupid, ignorant, or fearful of using this technology to get your business and have you come in when the chocolate or other stuff they sell is on sale.

So, Stuff Hound is here so people just like you can become a member and alert your buddies that the chocolate or other stuff you know about is for sale right now, today.

The idea at Stuff Hound is very simple.

Stuff Hound members do the following.

List stuff at Stuff Hound they know is for sale locally.

Get friends and family to sign up.

For buddy networks.

Alert buddies when the stuff they are looking for is on sale of available while in the store using text messaging at Stuff Hound or when in front of a computer with receipt from the store.

Team shopping at Stuff Hound can save a person TONS of money each year.

There is even a calculator that will tell a member how much they will save if they buy one chocolate bar a week for a year at $1.40 compared to $2.79.

Obviously if you haven’t figured it out yet, Stuff Hound isn’t just about buy chocolate or food. Its about buying all sorts of stuff locally and or alerting others about stuff they can save money on or find.

For example. Where I live there aren’t any stores that sell rechargeable hand warmers. I had to buy them online. But if others used Stuff Hound they could see a buddy or other members are interested in hand warmers and know where to buy them instead of wasting many hours and gallons of gasoline finding nothing.

For different reasons stores that sell in brick and mortar style businesses don’t want you to know what they sell.

That ignorant cycle can be broken and we the consumers can be put in the drivers seat.

Guess what. Some day the stupid merchants might find out that people are interested in something like hand warmers and start selling them. I won’t hold my breath.

Merchants can see statistics on what people are looking for in the area where they sell locally. But once again merchants aren’t really interested in selling.

If you are interested in buying and not wasting time and money, Stuff Hound is the place for you.
